I am glad and proud to tell you about my father, he was the best man that ever walked the earth. He was loved by
everyone, old and young rich and poor, he judged not a soul and he freely forgave. He was like a magician performing
great feats, people were quite taken with him.
His story began On a mountain top in Harlan Kentucky,in yes, a log cabin. he was born October 19, 1941 he was the
oldest of 7 children from his parents Harold and Nanny {Bray} Noe. He spent much of his time living with his grandparents
John and Martha {Osborne} Noe.
In 1959 Charlie decided to enlist in the Army and he was sent to Alaska the year they made it a state. He loved it
there said it was so beautiful. after a tour or in the army Charlie came back to Kentucky and in 1962 he met and
married my precious moma, Wanda {stewart}Noe. He was unable to find a descent paying job in the area so he re-enlisted
in the military, but this time in the air force, which he spent the next 20 years for a total of 24 military years.
in a years time the couple had there first child, Tammy{Noe} Smith. they lived in Monerey California when she was born
in1963.
Three years later the couple had their second baby, lisa noe. In 1967-68 Charles A. was sent to Vietnam and it was
his job to spray agent orange on the jungles, he never got over that making people sick and he felt guilty. All though
He new nothing about the great illness that would eventually visit so many of the soldiers. Daddy him self died due
to cancer caused by agent orange. The guilt that poor man lived in over the sprayings was pure torment and torture for
him every day.
He had a pure good heart, a great personality, and a talent for making you feel safe and cared for. He will never
die for he lives in my heart and I love him as much as a daughter could love her father. I am your shadow daddy and
I always will be.
